Little things

I have finished my doll quilt for the swap but still need to label and wash it before it can be sent on it's long journey to America (and believe me, it IS a long journey... I spent two whole days flying to get there back in February!)

And a sneak peak at something little on the needles... I spoilt myself and bought two skeins of Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino. Quite expensive yarn, but something small like this is okay. I just LOVE how wonderfully soft it is. It almost feels like cotton, not wool, but even softer. I might just splurge again...

Oh and that's the back of the doll quilt you can see underneath.

I haven't tried cashmerino before (mainly because of the price) but I am curious. It would be nice to splurge and use it for a small project just like you are doing.....

DB cashmerino is my absolute fave yarn! It's like butter sliding through my fingers ... sigh! What pattern is that?

sereknitty - it's the Debbie Bliss baby vest from "Essential Baby". I got a good price for it at the book depository - it is a gorgeous book - one of her best... and I have a few! I am a big fan of hers!!

Thanks for the pattern info ... I'm embarrassed to report that I've had that book on my shelf for some time ...! I also love the shawl collar sweater in the same book, and have it in my queue for my grandson ... not crazy about the big cuff on the sleeve, so may make an adjustment there. I'll be able to make it from my stash, as I have one bin that's entirely devoted to baby cashmerino ... whenever I see it on sale, I snap up more ... adore this stuff!

Glad to see you're all settled into the new place & things are getting back to normal!

Just wondering if you could drop me a line, I tried to email you but the address I have isn't working anymore (probably due to the move) - Thanks
