I also like strong colours, so am very in favour of the ruby yarn.Sereknittyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18360765413464455650noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1272351460186026468.post-24831825277239002582009-06-06T16:03:49.564+09:302009-06-06T16:03:49.564+09:30This is leaky from December 08 parents group. I agree that the Sirdar snuggly doesnt have a weighty feel to it and I have knit a few items in it but I have used other 8 ply wool to knit those same patterns from the book. I did actually knit up the same jacket you are going to for Maddy in chocolate brown and it turned out so beautifully. I think the cables knit up well in strong colors and the ruby color would be perfect. I have knit the same hoodie you made but I just used 8 ply spotlight wool and it turned out so nicely. I cant wait to see what else you make out of the book.Suehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02893692345113831018noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1272351460186026468.post-22175796581370474722009-06-06T10:22:38.515+09:302009-06-06T10:22:38.515+09:30It looks great Joy - I agree with you on the snugg...It looks great Joy - I agree with you on the snuggly though - lovely patterns but not so nice yarn (cant call it wool really can you when it originates from a barrel and not off the back of the sheep!)Kyliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17600462735290326334noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1272351460186026468.post-10020914990053587072009-06-05T23:04:29.097+09:302009-06-05T23:04:29.097+09:30Yep - the very one Emma!Yep - the very one Emma!Austysmumhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09346287173611932120noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1272351460186026468.post-56471211860754532012009-06-05T20:35:29.168+09:302009-06-05T20:35:29.168+09:30Is that the jumper Austy had on today before he go...Is that the jumper Austy had on today before he got hot? I would never have guessed it was a mummy-made-it! Well done! I've promised James after the party tomorrow, we'll stop and get some 'wool' so I can knit him a new scarf - the full extent of my knitting ability!Emmahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08418320852653847841noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1272351460186026468.post-77079107893808085762009-06-05T18:37:20.171+09:302009-06-05T18:37:20.171+09:30That would look so lovely in a ruby colour, as wou...That would look so lovely in a ruby colour, as would the one below with a fuschia flower.
